Donna Damelio Brett holds a B.S. in Dance from the State University College at Brockport, a provisional New York State Teaching Certification, and is currently awaiting acceptance of her thesis creative project from Empire State College for her Master's degree (projected Spring 2007). She teaches dance at The Aquinas Institute, where she was hired in 2005 to implement a new dance program. Before that, Donna taught dance at Monroe #1 Boces School of Performing Arts at Eastridge for eight years.

She is a member of the National Dance Educators Organization, and has taught dance for over 25 years. She was on the dance faculty of The Hochstein School Music and Dance for 10 years and acted as co-director of the dance department for one year. For the past five summers, Donna has taught at Summer School of the Arts at Nazareth College, a rigorous musical theatre program for high school students. She has choreographed for local community musical theatre productions including Chicago and The King and I for the Irondequoit Theatre Guild.

She has also taught master classes for The Rochester Vocal Collective, a community organization of professional and nonprofessional singers. Donna's performing experience includes dancing with The Rochester Dance Collective under the direction of Leslie Wexler in the 1980s. She has been a member of Present Tense Dance since 2000.
